What you can and can't claim for.
EC 261/2004 is generous, but not unlimited. The two sides, plainly.
You can claim for
- A delay of 3+ hours on arrival
- A cancellation under 14 days before departure
- Denied boarding because of overbooking
- A missed connection caused by an earlier delay
You can't claim for
- Extraordinary weather, strikes or security threats
- Disruptions more than three years ago
- A non-EU airline between two non-EU airports
